The bacterial genus Pseudomonas includes plant pathogenic bacteria such
as P. syringae, the opportunistic human pathogen P. aeruginosa, the ubiquitous
soil bacterium P. putida, and some species that are known to cause
spoilage of unpasteurised milk and other dairy products.
